Wanting to sell your tenanted unit but can’t get access for viewing from tenants?
Seller contacted Amy after seeing her media report in Lian He Wan Bao.
They are Hong Kong Chinese and have this 3 bedrooms unit tenanted.
They would like to sell it soon as they are moving back to Hong Kong soon.
Unit is still under tenancy with another 15 months left.
Amy understood this concern and arranged for a meeting with the tenant & seller.
Amy explained to the tenant why the seller are selling the place ie. due to their planned move back to Hong Kong.
The tenant expressed a valid concern - that the new landlord would raise their rent, hence hesitated whether to go for the meeting.
Amy explained that the sale will be tied to tenancy agreement with the current seller/ landlord, which the tenant may have misunderstood the terms of with their current knowledge.
After clearing the doubts and providing assurance by going through the tenancy agreement once again, tenant was very clear about the process.
Amy also assured the tenant that she will keep all viewings to be once a month without disturbing the tenant much.
The unit was eventually sold after the 3rd viewing.
